Students of Punjab College of Commerce & Agriculture celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan on 24.8.2018. Various Competitions- Rakhi making, Thali decoration, Best out of waste and Dish presentation were organized at college campus. More than 50 students from various courses participated in the celebrations with great enthusiasm and made colourful rakhis with glitters, mirrors and ribbons. Students also presented their dishes in very decorative manner. Students prepared very useful and beautiful articles with waste material. Students decorated thali‘s with colors’, flowers, ribbons etc. The motive of the event was to enhance the creative intelligence in the students. The judges for the competition were Dr. Anita Soni Principal of Punjab College of Commerce & Agriculture, and Staff members. Gurwinder Singh (BA 1 Year), Harpreet kaur (B.Com 2 Year), Amanjot Kaur (BCA 3 Year), Navjot Kaur (B.Com 3 Year), Amandeep Kaur (B.com 3 Year) got first position in rakhi making, dish presentation, thali decoration and best out of waste competitions respectively,. In the end Principal Dr. Anita Soni addressed the students and talked about the importance of the festival Rakhi. She also shared mythological story of the festival. At the end certificates were awarded to the winners.
